At August 11th’s Eaton Fire Collaborative (EFC) meeting, a collection of more than 200 nonprofits doing direct recovery work with survivors, it was relayed that survivors are in a period of desperation we have yet to see since the fire last January. Their needs run the gamut from housing assistance and legal support to mental health services and financial assistance. Yet, the number one need may surprise you: toilet paper.
