SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A 48-year-old man was convicted by a jury for a 2024 incident when he attacked his elderly father with a knife inside their San Francisco home, prosecutors announced Friday.
Feng Lin was convicted of felony assault with a deadly weapon by knife and sentenced to two years in state prison, according to SF District Attorney Brooke Jenkins.
“Although nothing can undo the trauma this family has endured, I hope that this verdict brings them some comfort as they work to heal," said DA Jenkins.
Per trial evidence and testimony, on March 21, 2024, Feng Lin attacked his father with two kitchen knives. The victim needed emergency care and was hospitalized with several stab and slash wounds and severe blood loss.
“The victim and his family have been through an incredibly difficult and lengthy process,” added Assistant District Attorney Jordyn Sequiera. “I am grateful for their patience, courage, and trust throughout this case, and I hope this verdict and sentence provides them with some measure of closure.”
